Vol.37「はじめてみたアニメについて」"The first anime I've ever watched"

こんにちは、アニメ先生(せんせい)のユウキです。
みなさんは初めて(はじめて)観(み)たアニメのことを今(いま)でも覚え(おぼえ)ていますか？
僕(ぼく)の場合(ばあい)、やっぱり日本人(にほんじん)なので小さい(ちいさい)頃(ころ)からアンパンマンやドラえもん、クレヨンしんちゃんの様(よう)な一般向け(いっぱんむけ)のアニメは普段(ふだん)からよく観(み)ていました。
でも、オタク向け(むけ)のコアなアニメは深夜(しんや)に放送(ほうそう)されていました。
今(いま)と違っ(ちがっ)て、アニメはストリーミングではなくテレビで視聴(しちょう)する時代(じだい)です。録画(ろくが)する機械(きかい)もなかったので放送日(ほうそうび)を逃す(のがす)ともう観(み)られない作品(さくひん)ばかりでした。
だから僕(ぼく)は毎日(まいにち)、深(ふけ)夜(よる)になると家族(かぞく)に内緒(ないしょ)でリビングルームで隠れ(かくれ)てアニメを観(み)ていました。
初めて(はじめて)の深夜(しんや)アニメは中学生(ちゅうがくせい)の時(とき)に観(み)た「げんしけん」という作品(さくひん)です。
これは大学生(だいがくせい)の男女(だんじょ)がアニメ研究会(けんきゅうかい)で活動(かつどう)するスクールライフをえがいたアニメです。みんなでゲームをしたりアニメをみたり、時(とき)にはオタクイベントに参加(さんか)している様子(ようす)がとても楽し(たのし)そうでした。当時(とうじ)中学生(ちゅうがくせい)だった僕(ぼく)はこれを見(み)てオタクの大学(だいがく)生活(せいかつ)に憧れ(あこがれ)を持ち(もち)ました。
実は(じつは)これが理由(りゆう)で、げんしけんの舞台(ぶたい)になった大学(だいがく)にも入学(にゅうがく)しました。でも残念(ざんねん)ながらアニメ研究会(けんきゅうかい)には入り(はいり)ませんでした。
これが僕(ぼく)の初めて(はじめて)観(み)たアニメの思い出(おもいで)です。

Do you still remember the first anime you watched?
In my case, since I was a Japanese kid, I used to watch Anpanman, Doraemon, Crayon Shinchan, and other popular anime titles.
However, the core anime for otaku were broadcasted late at night.
Unlike nowadays, we watched anime on TV instead of streaming. There were no machines for recording, so if you missed a broadcast date, you couldn't watch it anymore.
That's why every day at midnight, I would hide in my living room and watch anime without telling my family.
My first late-night anime was "Genshiken", which I watched when I was in junior high school.
It is an anime that depicts the school life of college students, both male and female, who are active in an anime research club. They played games, watched anime, and sometimes participated in otaku events together. I was a junior high school student at the time, and watching this anime made me long for the college life of an otaku.
In fact, this was the reason why I enrolled in the university where Genshiken was set. Unfortunately, I did not join the anime club.
These are my memories of the first anime I ever watched.
